About this tool

Photos from a phone are often 3 to 8 MB each - too big for many forms, emails and websites. The image compressor makes them a fraction of that size while keeping them sharp: it lowers the file's quality setting only as far as the eye cannot see, and makes very large photos a sensible size. Add many at once, including iPhone HEIC photos, and download them together. Everything happens in your browser - your photos are never uploaded.

Questions

How much smaller will my photos get?

Phone photos usually shrink by 70-90% with Medium. The new size of every picture is shown before you download.

Will the photos still look good?

Yes. Light keeps them almost exactly as they were; Medium is right for WhatsApp, email and websites; Strong makes the smallest files.

Can I compress iPhone HEIC photos?

Yes - add them as they are; they come back as JPG (or WEBP), much smaller.

How do I compress a photo to under 100 KB or 50 KB?

Use our Image resizer and choose "Under a size in KB" - it finds the best quality that fits.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. They are compressed inside your browser, on your own device.
