Privacy policy

Image Finder ("we") makes Image Finder. This policy says what we collect, why, and your rights - under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the EU/UK GDPR, California's CCPA and similar laws.
What stays on your computer
Your designs, photos, files, previews and what you search for never leave your computer. The software does not upload them.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, WhatsApp number, country (and for India: state, and GSTIN if you give one), business name if you give it, and your password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Payments: what you bought, amount, date and invoice. Card / UPI / bank details go to our payment provider (Dodo Payments, our reseller and merchant of record, which also handles the tax on your purchase) and are never stored by us.
- Licence: your licence key, an ID made from your computer (not your files), the computer's name and the app version - to check the licence works on one computer.
- Usage counts: how many searches, file opens and shares happen and how many files are in the library - numbers only, never file names or search words.
- Website visits: pages seen, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser. Exact location only if you allow it in your browser when signing in (to protect your account) - you can say no.
Why
To give you the licence and updates, take payments and send invoices, keep accounts safe, answer support questions, send emails about your licence (key, receipts, reminders before it ends), and improve the product. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
Only service providers who help us run the service: our payment provider, our email service and our hosting provider - each bound to protect it. We share data with authorities only when the law requires.
How long
Account and licence data while your account exists; invoices for as long as tax law requires (in India 8 years); website visit logs for up to 2 years.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in; your browser remembers light/dark mode. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to withdraw consent, or to get a copy - write to us (WhatsApp 9023972356). We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Image Finder is not meant for children under 18.
